My breath controller works in Logic, but in MIDI Guitar 3 it displays "CC11 not received yet"

Click on one of the 4 squares below where it says Tenor Trombone 2, choose CC11, then connect a line from CC11 to the CC11 on the square you just created

Thank you very much for your reply, but it still doesn’t seem to work.Thank you very much for your reply, but it still doesn’t seem to work.

Looking at the picture, on the Trombone change “Dynamics” to CC11 and “Vibrato Intensity” to CC1.

It should be a good start, at least you will have sound, then take your time and learn how to further adjust things.

Thank you so much

kontakt It still reports an error.

OK let’s start from the beginning.

You said you have a real breath controller?

Breath controllers usually send CC2 (not CC11).

In any case blow into the breath controller and watch the CC’s on the bottom of MG3? One of them has to move. CC2 or CC11 or maybe CC1. Are any of them moving?

You said it’s working in your DAW? Is it enabled in your DAW? If your DAW “takes ownership” of the controller then it might not be available to MG3 unless you routed it to the correct track and enabled “MIDI control from DAW” on the left bottom corner of MG3.

Probably the easiest way to do this is to disable the controller in the DAW and find it in MG3 lower left corner. Once you find it make sure to click on it and ENABLE it. Then see if any of those CC’s are turning when you blow into it. (CC1, CC2 or CC11)

Yes, it works normally in Logic; the facial expression control uses CC11.

In MG3, the value of CC11 also changes.

The same applies to the SWAM audio source; it cannot learn CC11’s facial expression control. The same applies to the SWAM audio source; it cannot learn CC11’s facial expression control.

What version is the Kontakt? If it’s not 8 then you need to click on the “MIDI MPE” in MG3 and change it to “MIDI 1.0 Legacy”

You did not anwser any of my question.

Is the breath controller enabled in your DAW?

If it is are you routing it to the correct track?

Did you enable “MIDI control from DAW” (lower left corner of of MG3)?

Do any of the CC’s (left lower corner of MG3) moving when you blow into the breath controller? (make sure they are set to CC2, CC1 and CC11.

In all the pictures I see movement on CC11.

The green is up a little, like 10 o’clock, Is that green circle moving when you blow into the controller?

Kontakt version is 8

The DAW uses a breathing controller. It works normally.

Did you enable “MIDI control from DAW” (lower left corner of MG3)? (It’s already enabled.)

Hmm… not sure. Can you play any instrument in MG3? I would also try the “MIDI 1.0 Legacy” setting.

On the Swam if you set the EXPRESSION to “After Touch” (instead of CC11) does it work?

Where is this setting located?

It worked! Thank you so much!

Good and one day you will find out why it doesn’t work as MPE (it should)

Thank you again, it was so wonderful and I’m so happy.
