The default guitar tracker, around 3.0.68 or .69 on iOS, now seems to present what I might describe as an “expected tuning” set of six inputs that become visible when I hover over the tracker module. This isn’t the Hex tracker but the single-source/polyphonic one, which previously seemed to expose a “lowest pitch” setting; clearly this is different.
And the thus-far “observed behavior” is most welcome to me. I can put in my actual tuning, C2-G2-D3-A3-E4-G4, and it will now track my low C for MIDI notes, which means I can play the SWAM Cello pitch proper on my home tuning! (Even better, I can set up the SWAM Double Bass to play in fifths, from C1, and just use an 8vb Transposer to play it the same way.) Man, that’s like early Christmas!
But aside from tracking down to C2 now (it doesn’t seem to go lower than that), what is the function of this feature?
