No Hex Input!

Hi,

I’ve been using MG2 for some years. I’m now trying to use the MG3 beta with the hex tracker. I’ve activated my lifetime license, and MG3 works. But when I switch to the tracker to “hex” in “select tracker”, and get back to the main panel, In the left window (under where it says “MIDI Guitar 3 Hex by Jam Origin” there’s a grey button that says “no hex input!” What am I missing?

Thanks!

I belive it would help us a lot to know how you are setting up? Mac/PC? What kind of gear are you using between your HexPu guitar and your computer?

If you see: NO HEX INPUT!

Click on the device name: SY-1000 (in my case).

Then be sure to select: Channel 1 …8 (HEX PICKUPS).

I’m running MacOS Sequoia 15.5 on a Macbook Pro. I’m running the standalone Midi Guitar 3.0.63. The audio interface is a MOTU UltraLite Hybrid Mk3, and the hex pickup is a Submarine Sub Six.

I set the input device to MOTU Ultralite, and the channel options to "Channel 1…8 (Hex Pickups). When I click “Apply” it waits about ten seconds before returning me to the main panel.

For diagnostic purposes: I had not installed a previous version of MIDI Guitar 3, I installed anew today.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

i think mg3hex ‘listens’ for audio after you select the hex tracker. you might get that error if your guitar strings are muted or the volume is down.

otherwise everything looks alright to me.

Have you tried to select “Channel 1-6”? If you don’t use a Boss device as interface but a mixer, that would be the right selection.

Ok, after a full reboot, it seems to work!

Thanks for all the help!
