Pitch Shifting/Retuning a guitar using MIDI Guitar?

I was wondering if there was any way to use MIDI Guitar to retune a guitar in realtime? For example, take a guitar in E standard or drop D tuning, and make it sound as if its in, say, D standard or drop C respectively? Then send the dry guitar signal to an amp sim for processing etc.

If not, is this something that may be possible in the future? It would be incredibly useful if MIDI Guitar could be used to overcome the need to swap guitars for songs in alternate tunings.

We have experimented with this and surely pitch shifting is possible. I believe retuning is within the realm of possible as well. Let’s see with next major update :slight_smile:

Wow! That is great news, honestly even just the shifting would be amazing, its pretty easy to switch between E standard and drop D tuning in real life, so if MIDI Guitar could just shift all strings down/up in realtime, that would be so damn awesome!
