Over the weekend, I learned to my dismay that the enable switch on the Cabinet IR Module has some sort of quirk that makes it more theoretical than practical. I’m nearly entirely on iOS, but the same thing happened on Mac when I tried it there too.
The problem. If I save a patch with a Cabinet IR Module in the off/disabled state, and then reopen the patch, it opens on/enabled. Even worse, if I cable the Cabinet IR’s enable switch to a Patchbay slot and then save the patch, reopening loses the cable mapping entirely, regardless of the state of the enable switch at patch save.
I’m hoping this is just a fixable bug. I’d love to be able to toggle between IRs in the same Chain, the way I can with NAM models, which do not exhibit this quirk. (I can of course effectively switch between IRs on different Chains, but I’m hoping for a “second dimension” of switchery.) This all works great when building the patch, but the save-and-reopen action seems to kill it.
Anyway, can others confirm this behavior?
