I have the demo version of Midi Guitar for Garageband 2.6.13 from the apps store. I am using Mac OS
Catalina 10.15.4 with Les Paul plugged into Scarlett solo. I don’t have any problem playing instruments but can’t seem to record midi. I find the support site a bit confusing regarding different versions and also the various instruction videos which is probably me, but before I purchase can you tell me if I need any other plugins or software to record midi or are there any links to setup for Garageband?

you dont need anything else, you just need to load a midi fx called “midi output” and set it to “virtual midi”.
