Sending MIDI from MIDI Guitar 3 to AUv3 instruments in Loopy Pro

Hi,

I am using MG3 in iOS on Loopy Pro. I had it working but forgot what I did …. I have the same instance of the plugin in 2 places. One place on an audiobus receiving the audio input. Then the other place, the same plugin is on a MIDI channel where it is supposed to generate MIDI.

I can see the audio coming into it, and I have Loopy Pro as the MIDI output; however…. no MIDI is coming out of it. I see in the MIDI Output section, the strike and pressure are moving, so I know it’s converting….. but no MIDI is coming out.

What am I missing? Something in the Chain?

QUESTION: Whatever is set up incorrectly - can that correct, or correct configuration be stored as a user preset? Or is there something that I have to manually “set” each time I use the plugin?

Thanks

AJ

Have a look at this very basic routing noting the port used in MG3.

SOLVED::::First…. thanks for the help.

NOW…. the other question; can all of this configuration (the Chain and MIDI Output) be saved somehow; so that I do not have to remember it? FYI, I typically have 50+ plugins in a loopy project and way too much work to remember how to set this up every time.

Can all, every last bit, of this configuration be saved in MG3??

Thanks,

Alex

This should work when you save your patch inside MG3 with a new name.

I’m also quite certain that your settings will be saved in your Loopy Pro project.
