Sorry I misunderstood your question. You are talking about slide cc74. The best way I have found to control that is with an expression pedal. It is difficult to use a controller that requires your hands while playing guitar. I believe Boss makes an expression pedal that connects via usb to the computer. @LoFiLeiF has a video that shows how to set this up.
This is with MG2, but the same principles apply.
