Standalone to DAW or VST

What are the advantages of using MG2 standalone to DAW or using MG2 as a VST in a DAW?

If you use MG2 as a VST in your DAW, every time you load your project, MG2 is automatically loaded on the track that’s using it with the appropriate preset and configuration. If you use the standalone version and connect it to your DAW, you have to load it separately and also load the appropriate preset and configuration unless you have saved them as default. You also need a virtual MIDI driver or app to connect MG2 to your DAW.

Two different applications… stand alone for playing live or jamming through it…VST for using inside the DAW .

I’ve been testing this as a standalone and in Cakewalk as VST.
For whatever reason the live tracking when used as VST doubles notes and does not track very well. The standalone is much cleaner.
How to rout out of the Standalone into Cakewalk?
