The full MIDI Guitar User Interface does not show up when using it as a plug-in on a Garageband track! What to do? I have both the ‘MIDI Guitar 2.vst & components’ inthe plug0in folder. Should I have an AU version instead (or is a .vst useable in Garageband)?
GarageBand and Logic Pro, as macOS-based DAWs, only use audio units. The .component files should be in the appropriate “Plug-ins/Components” folder, either via the MG3 installer or placed manually for MG2. Forget VST if you use one of the aforementioned DAWs.
on pc with certain resolution settings i have seen mg3 take up more than the full screen.
is this what you mean by ‘full’? or do you see nothing at all?
sometimes loading the mini set allows you to grab the bottom corner and resize.
I think we’re going to need a screenshot to determine what the OP means, but it would make sense to first ensure the plug-ins are in the right locations and to understand which plug-ins any given DAW supports.
