Wanted to Express my Gratitude to MIDI Guitar Creators and Users

So…I have spent almost every minute of my spare time in the past week playing with and exploring the possibilities of MidiGuitar 2 and 3. When my fingers get too tired, I watch the videos LoFiLief has made with such tremendous care and attention to detail on YouTube. The world of music tools is richer than ever, but Midi Guitar is, for me, like an answer to a prayer. The combination of ALL the goodness here: of using software rather than hardware to do the heavy lifting of A/D conversion; the exceedingly smart, AND musically imaginative design and build-out of the software platform; the understanding of the (new) users need for encouragement and what I might call tough-love (especially regarding latency  ); and finally, a user’s forum where questions are answered with care and kindness… It’s just overwhelming to me, how all of this has come together in one place. I’m a late-starting musician who bought my first guitar — the first musical instrument I ever learned to play — at 24. Over the years I’ve dreamed of playing other instruments, but always decided (perhaps laziness played a role!) that just getting better at guitar was the best use of my limited time. The years have raced by — and, for me, the musical habit has come in waves: writing songs, forming bands, making recordings…. Along the way, I hit all the usual creative roadblocks and capability plateaus we all seem to face. BUT…I have to say: spending an afternoon last week playing french horn and string sections, solo viola parts, pianos, pipe organs — you name it… It was one of the most gratifying musical experiences I have ever had. So I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone at JamO: for your creativity, for the long hours, the thoughtful deliberations, the careful listening and responsiveness to your users…and I want to say thank you also to the community of users gathered here who have also given their time and creative intelligence to this project. My cup runneth over, as it is said — and so I thought I’d better try to write it down…thanks for reading! :flexed_biceps:
