Are the NAM profiles used in a patch saved with the patch or it’s better to provide separate zip files with profiles so that members can recreate the patch?
Thanks!
Just wanted to share some of my latest works and I want to be sure it works without problems.
That’s cool! But there is a problem here. Currently only the path to the NAM file is saved in the MG3 patch, so it’s not easy to share.
Patches are basically a compressed archive of files and I guess we can make it optional to embed NAMs and other resources. At very least try to find the NAM file by the filename, in the NAM folder on the host machine.
Yay. I got this working (in next update). The “share” button will create a fat patch archive with resources packed with it.
Another motivation for this is that these fat patches can load also on iPads.
This goes hand in hand with an upcoming MPE-izing functionality to sample synths.
Obviously this leads to copyright and “fair use” concerns and so please be careful of what you share. IANAL so on this forum, please let’s opt for a conservative stance, and only posting patches with open licensed stuff and link-backs to its creators.
Good point. I will attach the NAM files used in a zipped format. With reference to Tone3000, NAM and the uploader of the package on Tone3000. If any free plugins needed I will mention that and the JamOrigin member will have to install them if not already done. Thanks! Pasha
