Alternate ref pitch for guitar; how?

Hi all…I thought I had asked this previously but Ill do it again just in case

I tune all songs and projects to 432. I have for a couple of decades. Last time I tried using MG2, I remember it not working as it was jumping chromatics/fluttering all over the place. When I tune to 440 it works well esp having a history of using guitar synths since the 80s…I only just sold my only Axon rack but I would still like some midi synth here and there…

Question is…where is there a reference tune parameter

432 or almost anything you can imagine will shortly be here for mg3hex using lofileif’s add on:

it seems in theory that adding this feature to mg3 native would not be that complicated (speaking as an outsider/non-coder).

otoh, all the machine learning was performed on 440-tuned guitars, which might not translate to 432.

you’d probably have to get a dozen like-minded guitarists on board in order to get jamo to consider adding this feature, assuming it is possible.

having experimented with 432 myself, i wouldn’t put it on my feature request list.

I did a lot of experimenting of 432…ultimately it just felt better both physically as that slightly lower tension is noticeable to my fingers especially on acoustics (which I originally had axon/gr set up for) and singing at the same time has a diff feel…less tension too.
Ultimately I have a bunch of guitars from baritones up to 3/4s all tuned differently and that signature is very helpful in song writing…so 432 is a def part of the toolkit. I also play with diff artists from egyptian flute, hang drum etc all tuned to 432
I do love the fully intonated fretboard…as in for guitar/also the fretlab. Ive always hated the dissonance and fine tune guitars for certain keys to get a lot closer…totally love that smooth sustain with wobbling and some of the guitars coming out now…but you cant play with other peeps

Im a bit of a purist…I wouldnt plug a pedal in to fix what isnt a problem. Well I mean…after 40 years of playing and studio work, simple is what Im after. Last time I used a pitch shifter was for metal when I had hair
If I have to keep playing keys instead of guitar (live for something special) then Ill switch it out. I still have a couple of pedals from the early 80s I bought eg ts909 etc that have never left me and I patch these into a helix which is mainly a switcher butit has some very ambient stuff straight off the bat. Thats already way enough palette along with some great guitars…I am so thankful.
I originally used guitar synths starting with the roland 707 although no shoulder pads were involved and then the ibanez/MG310 of which I still have 2 although neither work now…caps died on the board (great guitars) which drove a wavestation AD rack…that remained in use until the ibanez midi stopped working
What Im saying is that MG3 is an ideal mid solution as I just have a mini pic that is loaded with all that gear in the Korg software and would be nice to use it but more pedals? No…long since stopped the gear game and just concentrate on what I have…just make music.

I’ve never had a reason to use 432Hz reference, but if I had to do it casually I think I’d just use Transposer Modules as necessary with a standard-tuned instrument. With sufficient volume, you wouldn’t hear the original acoustic signal.

What happens if you simply feed your 432Hz reference-tuned instrument as-is into MG3? Doesn’t it just play with what it’s given?

No, as per the op…it jumps around until I tune it to 440 then it works. Esp clearly demonstrated by the chromatic jumping on the standard piano patch
But that was on mg2…

Question for @JamO: Would it significantly degrade the audio quality and the signal quality for recognition if the guitar tuned to 432 Hz at the input were internally tuned to 440 Hz for signal processing, and at the end of the chain, the audio from the original guitar and the MIDI synth (down-pitched to 432 Hz) were output?

Its DSP…just bits…which are just a parallel copy so the original should simply be the digital original ime
