Guitar tunings - How low can I go?

My “home” guitar tuning has long been the Guitar Craft standard tuning, C2-G2-D3-A3-E4-G4, and I have grown very accustomed to reaching for those lowest notes in general practice. I’ve used MG2 on both Mac and Windows for a bit now and have come to an uneasy peace with the lowest available polyphonic note being the D2 (whole step below guitar standard low E2), which you do have to specify in settings, and which I’d sometimes forget to do and would wonder where that D or Eb went for a brief moment…

Anyway I’m also interested in getting at least partial polyphony down to C2, even if those lowest notes are slightly imperfect (if I’m reading the room properly, it sounds like latency increases somewhat necessarily with decreasing pitch), I suspect I’d be able to find use for them. I imagine that baritone players pitching to the “fourth-down-from-guitar-standard” tuning would similarly want that low B1 to be available. Anyway, I’m bookmarking this thread for myself, which I didn’t find until I managed to ask the same basic question in one of my own:
