MG3 Hex vs multiple instances of MG3 Standard for break-out hex setup

one note also is that my guitar has a 7.5 inch radius so my top and bottom strings are l1mm while my middle two strings are about 2mm. The subsix appears to be shaped more for modern radiused guitars not vintage guitars

googling ‘63 jaguar’ is a pleasant experience, reminded me of ‘harold and maude’.

and the first guitar which came up is for sale at $14,998. you’d think shipping would be included.

based on the original post and yours, i’m thinking that pickguards may exacerbate the issue.

it would be a headache, but putting some foam in the cavity (tall enough to push up against the pickguard) might mute the undesired vibration.

Yeah these guitars get pricy… I am fairly happy with the setup/accuracy of tracking after raising the pickup height to be super close. Side note, I actually like the sound of the pickup super close to the strings too because I tend to pan the strings alternating opposite sides for each string. The fact that there is more separation/less bleed allows for more stereo width with the pans.

it is worth looking at the intonation. mg3hex should be able to accurately detect any chord from cowboy to steely dan and beyond. better performance in open tunings is a potential indicator of intonation issues.
