MG3 VST inside Bitwig

Hi,

New user here. Hey, I’m trying to use the plugin version of MG3 inside Bitwig, then feeding it into Cherry Audio Sines (with MPE enabled of course), as the next thing in the chain.

All works great, woohoo… however, I don’t seem to be getting pitch bend info.

If I put Sines inside the MG3 plugin it works fine.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks a lot!
MG3 is great!!!

Did you check this thread?

Aha, no I hadn’t seen that

Switched to VST2 and all is working, and it’s a beautiful thing!

Thanks a lot :+1:

Sorry, couldn’t resist a small “Hello World”… this is just too much fun!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I can see MG3 being a gamechanger for my compositions. Extremely impressed. Well I was already, but having it inside Bitwig is just the icing on the cake.

Very very nice!

I have an issue with MG3 in Bitwig…Plugin UI’s inexplicably disappear and you have to click on the device in MG3 to see it again. It stays up for a while and then disappears again. This does not happen in Logic Pro. I am not a programmer in any sense but i suspect it is because of the way that Bitwig handles graphics. Running a Mac studio M2 Ultra with OS x Sonoma

What you can do, if this is good enough for you, is go into

File/Settings/Behaviour/Device

and check the “Floating window follow current track” box

Then you have MIDI Guitar 3 open whenever you have clicked on that track.
Maybe that is some kind of improvement?

Thank you for the suggestion but that did not fix it. Load a 3rd party plugin and then click on it to display the UI and it only stays there for a short while and then disappears. You have to click on the plugin inside MG3 to get the UI to display again.

I’m using Bitwig Studio v 5.2 and haven’t encountered this problem. My “Floating windows follow current track” is unchecked.

Perhaps some other factor is involved.
