How did you get into that job? That sounds incredible!
It is the purpose of my life to use this software
The universe itself was created with the express purpose of giving me, personally, the opportunity to use this software! Every life ever lived; all of the suffering, all of the pain, the futility of seemingly meaningless lives, the animals of the great dark forest fighting for survival… all of it coalesces into the vague possibly that I may one day try Midi guitar 3 beta!
Thousands out there waiting for the inspiration/possibilities this software is going to mean for humanity’s cultural heritage. I’ve never in my entire life been so hyped about a piece of software, lord please have mercy with us. I send you all my good energies and intentions to achieve this monumental feat, I appreciate all your work and I’m eternally grateful for all of this sacrifice.
MG is the Grail for guitarists, and we’re glad to know that, unlike the real one, we’ll know this one in our lifetime.
The short version…Jazz Guitar major followed by Recording Sciences and Engineering major, Freelance musician playing for years in all kinds of venues (bars, cruise ships, hotels, corporate events), simultaneously freelance recording engineer for years, when gigs and live music venues started to dry up I transitioned to doing some teaching at Arts Institute and Vancouver Film School… Met people, networked. Hired as Audio Director at Next Level Games 2006 (bought by Nintendo in 2020)
I bought Midi Guitar Desktop on Friday (23.02) and am now waiting for the beta test version for Windows. But the final release version would be even better
PS
I’m a programmer. So I can provide detailed bug reports.
I’ve been so excited about this since I made a video comparing its performance to the fishman triple play which I am still eternally glad that I sold. So much hassle for so little benefit.
And then I saw Paul Bielatowicz use it live a couple years back and realized how justified I was, tenfold.
I don’t just want this beta, I need it, just to see how this product could possibly be improved
Count me in (so excited) ! I can help, I’m a musician and a computer scientist.
3 preliminary questions:
- is there a standalone version for the current beta (as opposed to a plugin) ?
- any hardware requirement (e.g. kind of CPU, Apple Silicon / ARM etc) ?
- can I have both the beta and MG2 installed in parallel on the same machine ?
Thanks.
Saw the email and immediately came here to create an account and say I would love to help test MG3!
Yes, in fact we haven’t really started testing the plugins.
Apple Silicon is great, MacOS11 minimum for now.
Yes,
Yes, I’d like to participate in this. I got a license back in 2016.
FWIW, I didn’t get any confirmation message from the mailing list subscription bot (tried two different adresses)… unless it’s not a bot
‘for now’ - Hopefully this implies the full release will be supported on older OS’s? Just downloaded the beta from the email but it won’t work on my OS (Catalina). Love MIDI Guitar 2!
Interested in the Beta.
I got mine in the Spam folder. Did you check that?
Long time user of midi guitar 2 love it so looking forward to beta testing… Windows 11 user and using midi guitar in a daw that is said not to work in…
Yup. Will try another domain name completely. Spam counter-measures such as DMARK / DKIM are as painful as spam itself these days…
Bingo. GMail address works, as opposed to my own domain names redirections…
Hehe! I had the exact sam situation!
