I had a dream a few nights back that the MacOS beta of MG3 had released and I was playing with it in Ableton Live…I was really enjoying it then I woke up and cried

Is there anyone who already owns MG2 who has received MG3 beta? On January 23rd, in this forum (LoFiLeiF), the beta testing program for users who already own MG2 was announced, but as of today February 25th there is no news about it. It’s just to have continuity of information about a product… Anyway, thanks to LoFiLeiF for the “updates”.

For those who don’t read every line 
:
- First round of BETA testing will be limited to customers of the MIDI GUITAR 2 plugin, and limited to MAC OS.
- A second round will for everybody who have signed up to our mailing list (you can sign up below). Windows and iOS versions will arrive here.

Beyond excited to be involved in beta testing this - will there be some testing/commenting protocols that you want testers to work through, or will it it be unstructured feedback/bug reports?
Generally there are two kind of issues: non-tracking-related, and tracking-related.
The former I can usually fix within a day and hopefully for the next update, whereas the latter may take forever. So, in this testing phase, I will have to focus on fixing the former
We will keep a curated list of reported issues, with links to threads of reporting or discussion about the issue. We will be thankful if anybody wants help moderating this forum and we will try to label and merge threads with similar issues.
To be honest, I expect this to be a bit chaotic. As a solo developer, my time is limited and I need to focus on actually fixing the issues. This is also the reason we try to limit the first round here for customers and for Mac.

Hi - apologies if this has been asked before in this topic, but for MG3 will there be a VST3 version? There are some VST Hosts that are not supporting VST2 anymore, so a VST3 version would be helpful. Thank you!
Be aware that it’s always risky to change anything shortly before a live performance.
As a matter of principle and from past experience, I don’t change anything at least 2 weeks before the performance to make sure I don’t run into any problems: no update for system, software, plugins, etc.
Furthermore, it seems that MG3 is not an update but a new software package that will certainly require some time to find its feet and readapt the patches.
As I use my equipment for live performance, I automatically give up using plugin hosts that don’t accept VST2.
There are still too many VST3s that pose problems of reliability, resource usage, poor preset management and so on.
Stability and optimization must be a priority, unless of course you don’t use your hardware in public.
You should be able to find plugin wrappers (I believe that is the correct term, I haven’t had this issue as I use Reaper for my DAW) to fix VST2/VST3 compatibility issues if you are unaware
AMAZING. Presumably makes sense to focus on Mac if that’s what the majority of your users use…
But here to say your Win users are here, and enthusiastically looking forward.

Hi I tested to install MG3 beta on my Mac but I noticed that it must be ver. 11 and later , I have 10.13.6 High Sierra.
So I have to wait for the Windows version.
